Manisha was born in 1992 in the Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh, India. She completed her schooling at Central Academy, Deoria, in 2008, and later obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biology from St. Andrews College, affiliated with Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Uttar Pradesh.
In 2014, she earned a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya University, where she received a Gold Medal for her excellent performance. Afterward, she continued her studies at Amity University Lucknow, where she completed her Ph.D. in Biotechnology in 2021. Her Ph.D. research focused on creating new and improved malaria vaccines for humans.
Currently,Dr. Manisha is a postdoctoral fellow at NIAID, NIH under Dr. Michal Fried’s Lab. She is working on recombinant technology, protein expression, immunoassay, and vaccine development using wet lab methods. Before joining the NIH, she was an innovation fellow at BISR, Jaipur, India. She was focused on designing of multi-epitope vaccines against different pathogens including Plasmodium, Leishmania, SARS-CoV-2, Rhizopus, Enterococcus, Adeno virus, and Monkeypox virus using bioinformatic tools. She is also involved in different research associated with development of drug against pathogens and cancer as well as miRNA therapeutics. She is also interested in development of different prediction tools and database.
